This position is based out of our corporate office in Alexandria, VA, and requires regular travel throughout Maryland and Northern Virgin

What you’ll do:
This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role combining recruiting, branding, and business support. You’ll work closely with leadership, HR, and property teams to help us hire great people and build strong systems.
1. Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting across multiple properties and departments
- Partner with managers to understand hiring needs and fill roles quickly and effectively
- Source candidates through job boards, outreach, and community connections
- Screen candidates and coordinate interviews
- Manage job postings, offers, and pre-employment processes
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines
2. Systems & Process Improvement
- Help select and implement a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Create streamlined recruiting workflows, templates, and reporting
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, etc.)
- Track and report recruiting, training, and workforce trends to senior management
3. Onboarding & HR Support
- Assist with onboarding coordination and new hire setup
- Support compliance documentation and orientation scheduling
- Help monitor new hire progress and engagement
- Assist with employee recognition programs, milestones, and engagement initiatives
- Coordinate and track employee training for compliance and professional development
4. Employer Branding & Outreach
- Support social media presence and recruiting visibility
- Participate in job fairs and community events
- Help promote the company as an employer of choice
5. Business Development Support
- Assist with partnerships, outreach, and community engagement initiatives
- Support efforts that strengthen our presence in the market
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of recruiting experience (property management experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of employment practices and background screening compliance (FCRA, etc.)
- Experience with or interest in implementing recruiting systems (ATS)
- Ability to manage multiple openings across different locations
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
Nice to Have
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Familiarity with fair housing and local labor markets
