Seeking experienced property manager with strong work ethics, exceptional communication, organizational and leadership skills, to manage and direct a large, multiple entity apartment community in Forestville, Maryland / Prince George’s County.
$80,000 to $90,000 annual salary + potential for bonus package of 5,000 to $8,000 annually. Excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement plan and supplemental options (single & family), effective on the 1st of the month following or coinciding with 30 days of full-time employment. JOB SUMMARY
The property manager is responsible for achieving the financial and operational goals established for the property by having the ability to control expenses within budget, maintain high occupancy and creating an environment with good working relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Management and oversight and direction of property operations to include:
- Leasing/Sales
- Maintenance Service/Resident Relations
- Financial Compliance
- Build, motivate and sustain a high-performing, cohesive team, incl. cross-department collaboration
- Budgeting and execution to meet and exceed planned occupancy goals, economic growth and standards
- Financial analysis to include expense control, revenue generation and enhancement
- Contract management to include scope development, contract implementation and oversight
- Build community through resident engagement and community outreach to include service sector or the county government and neighborhood organizations
- Achieve resident satisfaction through providing residents with an exceptional service experience
- Together with the maintenance supervisor, the property manager is responsible for ensuring that all team members operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times, organizes and holds monthly safety meetings
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate, through the interview process, must be able to demonstrate significant experience managing large multifamily housing communities. 3+ years or 300+ units or equivalent multi-site experience will be considered
- Ability to demonstrate proven successful experience in leasing/sales management, facility operation, customer interaction, and financial management
- Proven leadership and the ability to coach, mentor and provide employee feedback and performance development in a timely and effective manner through annual performance reviews, coaching and disciplinary documents, incl. maintaining staffing levels with talent acquisition and retention
- Comprehensive computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams) and property management accounting software, preferably RealPage OneSite
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years experience managing large multifamily housing communities
- Industry training, certifications, real estate designations, and/or CPM or ARM accreditations, and awards are a strong plus
