Maintenance Technician, Meadow Woods (Alexandria, VA)

Seeking experienced, dependable and committed maintenance technician to provide outstanding maintenance services to our Meadow Woods apartment community (712 apartments in 27 building) in Alexandria, VA.

Duties:

• Responsible for all aspects of general apartment maintenance, preventive maintenance and turnovers/punchouts within the community, incl. HVAC
• Rotating emergency on-call duty
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of two (2) years experience in apartment maintenance. Will also consider strong (verifiable) work experience in a related field
• Candidate must have electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair skills, or strong technical aptitude with relevant work experience
• HVAC, tile & carpentry skills are a big plus
• CFC Type I, II or Universal are a big plus
• Candidate must have personal, reliable transportation and valid drivers' license
• Candidate must be able to reach Meadow Woods within 15 minutes or less when on on-call duty or be willing to move on-site
• Candidate must be professional, dedicated to high performance and courteous at all times
• Candidate must be able to clearly and effectively communicate and interact with residents and staff
